ISTANBUL... HERE I COME!!! : PART 7 : DOLMABAHCE PALACE

Day 4

When at Dolmabahce Palace.

Turkey is unique and rich with culture and history. Majestic and magnificent mosques and palaces stand proud with interesting stories behind it. From Byzantine to Ottoman Empire, the history surely gives you goosebumps.

Dolmabahce Palace mengadap selat Bosphorus di mana kesultanan Osmaniyah berakhir di sini. It was built during the ruling of Sultan Abdulmecit in neo-baroque style between 1843-1856, to replace the Topkapi Palace because the ruler thought that the then palace was out fashioned. It was inspired by the European palaces. A majestic palace decorated with gold and crystal. It was understood that pencetus revolusi Turki Kamal Attartuk pernah tinggal di sini selepas penggulingan the last Ottoman Sultan.

Still raining, my dotter at the entrance of the palace. Kelihatan menara jam at the background.

3 beranak plak. Jalan hujan2 ngan sejuknya sgt tak best dow.

Sume anak beranak plak.

At the entrance. Tiket pak Murad settlekan, kita masuk je. If I'm not mistaken, the fee is 40 lira for full visit of the palace.

The baroque style of design. Eh, Mak Teh tetiba. Masuk je terus cari toilet, hujan kata ko. Yg nampak bangunan merah kt dalam tu area for public toilet. Bagus, takyah jauh2 cari toilet.

Dah masuk dah di perkarangan palace.

Di perkarangan palace ni sangat cantik dengan bunga2 yg pastinya sangat cantik bila masa spring. Pictures don't do the justice. I saw pokok2 rose tlh di prune, menunggu ketibaan musim bunga yg indah for the full bloom.

He stayed, welcomed his foreign guests and made a practical center for national, historical and language congress and for international conferences.

Dihadapan Selamlik Wing yang merupakan pejabat pemerintahan Sultan Ottoman ketika pemerintahan the last 6 sultans.

Dolmabahce has 3 floors including the basement with a symmetric design, with 285 rooms, 43 halls, 6 Turkish bath. Mmg sgt cantik kt dalam dia, tp sayang takleh amik gambar. Tapi hakak tengok ada je sorok2 amik gambar. Aku je mmg penakut nak langgar peraturan. Design simetri kt dalam ni kira macam both wings reflects each other, same design and spaces. Memang grand la kat dalam ni, masa naik kt tangga dia, rasa dah macam dalam citer Cinderella yg baru kt wayang tu.

Ok, amik kt google since takleh amik gambo.

The huge ballroom has a 4,5 tons crystal chandelier hanging from its 36 meters high ceiling.
131 handmade silk carpets were ordered to be woven in the town of Hereke especially for the palace.

A Bohemian crystal chandelier, the worlds's largest chandelier, a gift from Queen Victoria which makes you goes whoaaa uuuuu wow... Cantik kan binaan dan decoration dia? An expensive stones such as Egyptian alabaster, Marmara marble and porphyry from Pergamum were used for the decoration.
So mewah that rakyat started the revolution and oust the Sultan from the palace.

Ammar and sepupunya. Kat belakang tu gate utk tambatan bot mengadap selat Bosphorus.

Di laman istana. Aleesya dah jumpa singa, kt situ le dia nak bergambar pun.

Ada le sesikit bebunga kt sini.

Okay Ummi pun nak bergambo sama ngan Singa and anak2.

At the back side dekat gate tambatan bot.

At the back side of the palace. Nak visit di Dolmabahce palace ni kena guided tour katanya, if not cannot visit. Selain decoration yang indah lagi mewah, kt dalam ni terdapat a collection of 202 beautiful oil paintings done by Ivan Aivazovsky, Gustave Boulanger, Eugene Fromentin, Jean Leon Gerome, Stanislaw Chlebowski, Sandor Svaboda, Fausto Zonaro, Felix Ziem, Theo Van Rysselberghe, Karl Joseph Kuwasseg, Osman Hamdi Bey, Osman Nuri Pasa, Halil Pasa, Sekrit Dag and Omer Ben Mustafa ; which are on display in the palace.

Tu muka budak nak setat meragam, tak lain ngantuk lettew.

Beautiful isn't it? mcm bangunan2 lama kt Rusia dan Eropah.

Jalan2 terjumpa pokok ni seketul.

Ada lagi yang berbunga lebat rupanya. Ahhhh inilah first time saya jumpa pokok bunga Magnolia! Cantiknyewwww...jom gamba

Gamba.. Pak Murad dah tak senang bila geng perghak kami nak bergamba kt sini.

The palace has two beautifully decorated monumental gates giving access to its courtyard.

Di akhiri dengan gambar blogger.

Dolmabahce housed Sultans and their families before the Republic, and it was then used by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during his visits to Istanbul. Atatürk died here on the 10th of November, 1938. The palace now serves as a museum and a guest-house used for receptions for important foreign statesmen during their official visits.
