CRUISING MARMARA SEA TO ULU DAG, BURSA, Day 3

Okay, mari teruskan perjalanan lagi.

So the 3rd day kami di itineray kan ke Bursa, dalam 3 jam perjalanan dr Turkey. Masa ni lah kami jumpa tourist guide kami di Istanbul, Mr Murad. Very very helpful walau kdg tak baper pick up sgt ngan dia pnyer English. From transportation, tickets sume  dia uruskan.

Okay pagi2 lepas Subuh kami dah siap2 masak. Seblm keluar wajib makan dulu kenyang2. Ni ramai yg tekak melayu satu ari nak makan nasi bersambal gek. Sambal sardin telor dadar ahhhh mmg win. Yg ni dlm cubaan cik abe cheq nak rendam telor separuh masak sudahnya gitu ler keadaannya baik buat telor dadar. Tuan aprtment dah siapkan kelengkapan dapur yg awesome dah utk memasak, beli brg nak masak je

Apartment Kak Yah jadik markas makanan. Tak sia2 bwk beg gemuk sbb sume ada.. dia dah siap bwk bwg cili sume dah ngan rempah tumisan nak wat sambal nasi lemak. Sedap betul makan dlm kedinginan pagi yum yum...

Nasi lemak sambal sardin overlook Marmara sea ko ado

Sblm keluar.. selfie dulu.

Aleesya ngan ayah chiknya merangkap personal tourist rombongan cikgu Kiah. Kaki berjalan ni. Even lepas Istanbul dia sambung ke Paris n Amsterdam arghhh nak ituttt...

Tgh tunggu kenderaan nak pick up kami..

Kejap dah sampai transport ngan tourist guidenya sekali.

Bersabo je lah ngan Mr Murad ni. Sepanjang jalan citer pasal geografi Turkey sesaje siap bwk Atlas, Anything you'd asked he was ready to answer. Even nak gi toilet pun dia accompany kan, Dah boring kami tanya pengajian am semasa plak termasuk political situation. Last2 dia sorang dok study atlas tu bila masing2 carik excuse wat2 tido choyyy sgt ni.. dah tu satu jam perjalanan masih lagi topik asal usul Turkey zzzz...but he was so kind and informative though at times played safe while explaining political situation

Kt highway dia menuju Bursa, kurang lebih 3 jam dari Istanbul, so anak2 kecik boley cover tido dah, mak2 org cam aku asal tak boley tido la plak.

From Istanbul, it took us app. 3 hrs by road and hopped in a ferry, dgn transportnya sekali - cruising the Marmara Sea. Marmara sea partly devided Asiatic and European side of Turkey. Bestnya tgk burung camar besar dabak flying over the sea of Marmara. Angin sejuk beku menderu2 kenot tahan dok lama2 luar feri.
So freakin' cold outside oiii...

In the ferry, pastu boring gi kt luar balik. Pastu sejuk ngat berlari blk ke dalam.

Hello Cheq Ani mak long..

Dah lapa balik pi la beratur beli jajan..

Tetiba teringat Titanic erk

Ahhh dah sampai Bursa. Bursa is a center of the silk trade (since first silk cocoons were brought here with the caravans of the Silk Road) and towel manufacturing. No wonder la sampai bazaar ni punyalah penuh org jual tuala, bath rope, silk, baju2, alas2 meja etc ntah kenapa amazingnya akak takde nafsu pun nak membeli. Ok, sikit tipu disitu sbb ada pegang beg plastik. Beli tuala kecik je pun.  Dah blk Mesia baru tau pasai Bursa ni betul2.

Bazaar ni quite modern sket berbanding grand bazaar kt historical Istanbul tu, walau Bursa ni lebih dulu kerajaan Ottoman sampai dan first capital mereka. A new designed bazaar.

Itu budak boley main guli2 kt muka bumi berbukau dah tak pasal plak berlari atas bwh pungut guli grrrrr..

Tgk gambar2 ni baru cam terliur nak beli tuala and silk. Tp tak tau la celah mana nak letak lagi dah beg pun beranak pinak dahhh masa nak balik

With Kemal Ataturk, bapa pemodenan dan secular Turkey, sebegitulah seiirng dgn kejatuhan kesultanan Othmaniah selari dgn kebangkitan rakyat yg mana Ataturk la antara penggeraknya sehingga membawa kepada the birth of modern Turkey dan menjadi sebuah republik.

In 1923, as the creator of the new Republic of Turkey, Atatürk established a form of government that reflected the wishes of the people thru the Parliament. Sweeping cultural and socio-political reforms took place. Between 1926 and 1930, legal changes led the way for Islamic religious laws to be abolished and a secular system emerged.  Atatürk also undertook the greatest challenge of all, a reform of the existing language. In 1928, he decided to abolish the Arabic script and incorporated the Latin alphabet with the Turkish. Sebabnya Ottoman Turkish guna byk Arabic influence in their language, jadi bg Ataturk tak seiiring dengan pemodenan Turkey.

"In 1922 the new nationalist regime abolished the Ottoman sultanate, and in 1924 it abolished the caliphate, which the Ottoman sultanate had held for centuries. Thus, for the first time in Islamic history, no ruler claimed the spiritual leadership of Islam. Secularism  was one of the "Six Arrows" of Atatürk's blueprint for modern Turkey.

The reforms bearing directly on religion were numerous. They included the abolition of the caliphate; abolition of the office of seyhülislam (Islamic ruler); abolition of the religious hierarchy; closing and confiscation of the dervish lodges, meeting places, and monasteries and outlawing of their rituals and meetings; establishment of government control over the Evkaf, which had been inalienable under Sheriat (Islamic rules); replacement of Sheriat with adapted European legal codes; closing of the religious schools (Medresses); changing from the Islamic to the Western calendar; outlawing the fez for men and frowning on the veil for women, both garments associated with religious tradition; and outlawing the traditional garb of local religious leaders.

They even wanted to change the prayers and laungan azan into Turkish language, luckily pihak opposition stood strong to maintain Arabic in these.

                                                                                                                                      Source

So now Turkey is a secular country, with 98% are Muslims.

However, jasanya jugalah Atatürk initiated a program for economic development in Turkey, which consisted of agricultural expansion, industrial and technological advances.

Di sekitar kompleks and bazaar.

Bursa city is known for its mosques and historical sites from the early Ottoman Empire. Sblm Constantinople, Bursa adalah first capital of Ottoman empire. Bursa ni dah kt sebelah Asiatic Turkey. Because of its being the first Ottoman capital, Bursa is very rich in religious monuments, mosques, tombs (Turbe),baths.
Aleesya ngan mak langnya,

Tak yah la tido belum masanya lagi..

Berdua lebih baik..
